 A full size bronze statue of Dickie by Barnsley sculptor Graham Ibbeson, will be unveiled at the rear of St Mary’s Garden in Barnsley.
This is near to where Dickie lived as a child.

In 2004, The Dickie Bird Foundation gave one of its first grants to a young man, Andrew Yoxall, who wanted to be a jockey.
